Gender Affirming Services
Therapy for the transgender and gender diverse community in Brooklyn, New York
Gender-Focused Mental Healthcare
Gender is personal. Trans healthcare is a complex and evolving field. One of the main challenges faced by people across the gender spectrum is a lack of access to informed and affirming health care.
I was trained by Dr. Laura Edwards-Leeper, a pioneer and international expert in field of transgender mental healthcare. I have since expanded my own practice to specialize in working with the trans and gender spectrum community.
I provide gender affirming therapy and assessment that follows the guidelines set forth by WPATH (World Professional Association of Transgender Healthcare), the leading organization of trans healthcare. I practice virtually and see clients from all over the state of New York.
Gender Affirming Therapy
I provide a safe and welcoming environment for you to receive support during your gender journey. There are infinite expressions of gender and identity and I support you finding your own path.
Every gender journey is different, and you may wish to transition, or not. You may wish to claim parts of a transition that feel right to you and leave others.
You may be questioning your gender. You may experience gender dysphoria, gender euphoria, or neither. Every version of you is beautiful and valid.

Gender Affirming Assessment
I provide two main types of assessment:

This comprehensive, gender-focused, psychological assessment is for trans and gender diverse youth (age 12+) and families who are considering medical transition (i.e., puberty blocking medication, gender affirming hormone treatment, surgery).
This assessment will gather a thorough and holistic understanding of one’s gender journey, psychological functioning, and intersectional factors. The assessment can greatly assist with your family’s decision-making process for medical intervention and involves parent figures every step of the way.
